Yukiko, born in Japan, received her primary koto training from Grand Master Masazumi Mizuno and Gasho Okuno. She received her pre-master certificate form Seiha Conservatory of Japanese Music with honors. Yukiko's performance in the U.S. include concerts as an ensemble member under the direction of etraordnary Jazz Shakuhachi (Bamboo Flute) player/composer John Kaizan Neptune and the world renowed Koto virtuoso Kazue Sawai.Yukiko regularly performs concert and lecture performances as a soloist and as a member of Thousand waves, as a duet partner with Peter Zisa, Mitsuki Dazai, and LeeAnn McKenna.
